I could not be more happy for my brother Jeff and his beautiful new wife Kylee. She is so amazing and I'm lucky to now have another darling neice and nephew. They had such a beautiful wedding day and they deserved it after a crazy wedding week with the flu going through both families. My mom, my aunt and I worked like crazy (and I got stung three times by hornets) decorating my parents' backyard for the reception and it turned out beautiful (if I do say so myself). While I was in Salt Lake City last weekend I was lucky enough to meet up with my beautiful niece to do her senior pictures. She is about as perfect as they come and is as wonderful on the inside as she is on the outside. And I love that she just let her mom (my awesome sister-in-law) style the entire shoot. She just rolled with the punches and we ended up a huge amount of pictures to pick from. Love it!

I had to get the picture of her legs with all their soccer battle wounds. I smoothed those out in the other photos, but they were too awesome to ignore completely!

I was blessed with an incredible opportunity to photograph the adoption of this beautiful baby girl and it was so, so sweet. Her birth mother and her family were amazing and you could just tell she felt such conviction over her decision to place her baby with these amazing parents. You could just feel the love in the room that everyone there felt for this sweet little girl - what a special day. I feel honored to have been a part of it.

Weekend with a Best Friend | Boise Natural Light Photographer

Last weekend I flew to Colorado for a weekend at my best friend's house. We spent some time getting her house ready for her third and final(!) baby. I grabbed my camera a few times to capture "life" on a chaotic Saturday before the two of us headed out to a hotel, a broadway play, and some much-needed relaxation.

Loving the moon boots on the wrong feet. If this doesn't scream three year-old, I don't know what does!

Being a super hero is tired work.

We had our first babies almost at the same time. I can't believe how big her girl is!

Loving the birthday party pizza and cake all over the face.

Still sleepy, watching Saturday morning cartoons.

When we met 14 years ago I think motherhood, birthday parties and three kids were the FURTHEST things from our minds but now it is such a blessing to have someone to share it with. The good and the bad!
